BIO - Mikhael Antone-D’Angelo

Mikhael Antone-D’Angelo is a filmmaker, visual artist and educator. Born 1975 in Providence, Rhode Island. She received a BA from Salve Regina University in Studio Art and an MFA in Video & Photography from School of Visual Arts. She has exhibited and screened her work in New York at Anthology Film Archives, Void, BAM Rose cinemas, Praxis Collective, Studio 150, Salve Regina University, Lumen Waterfront Video Festival, Camera Works Gallery.  Her work has been published in Mutiny Magazine, Deluge Journal, Burning World, The Healing Muse among others.

Mikhael’ s projects center on our emotional connection to landscape.

While at the School of Visual Arts, Mikhael received the Aaron Siskind Award and has received multiply NYSCA and a NY DCA Grants as well as a NYFA grant for such projects as To a Man documentary film, Sense of Place and Re-Wilding. Mikhael lives with her husband/collaborator Joe D’Angelo and their son in Staten Island, NY.
